Lee Kum Kee (LKK) is a cooking sauce brand from Hong Kong with over 100 years of traditional heritage. However, their official website had not been updated since 2009 and was in dire need of a revamp. Splash was assigned to modernize
the platform’s user experience, content and aesthetics to meet the modern consumer’s demands. Our challenge was how to balance the traditional elements of the brand while bringing it up to date to meet current design
style trends without forgetting to accommodate the audience's functional needs for the website.
In order to understand what their customers wanted, we first conducted user research to ascertain what their needs were. To cater to the rising popularity of mobile devices, Splash designed a responsive website which can be browsed
seamlessly on mobile phones, desktops and tablets. In terms of content, we incorporated content in format based on what the audience is most interested in. The website also pulls content from social channels, making the content
more diverse and dynamic. The new website is built on the Sitecore CMS platform.
